Here at My Step Up we offer a great variety of different farm activities for adults with autism and other learning difficulties.
There's plenty of work to do on a farm: taking horses out to the field; grooming animals; cleaning stables; collecting eggs; filling hay nets; feeding chickens; tending to the sheep and goats; fixing fencing; painting walls and so much more.
We're always busy, no matter the weather. We’re open all year, even in winter!
We take pride in the fact we offer the opportunity for our clients to participate in fun, outdoor activities where they can experience what it’s like to work on a farm, socialise with others and be part of a team.
Taking part in physical and outside work offers a huge amount of benefits. Over the years, we’ve seen how working outdoors can increase confidence, reduce stress and benefit overall health and mental
wellbeing. We encourage our clients to work together and socialise.
At our farm, we have an incredible choice of engaging and interactive activities for adults with autism.

Please note some of these activities are dependant on the weather.
Studies have shown how animal assisted therapy can offer massive benefits to mental health. Here at My Step Up, we encourage our clients to interact and look after the animals. Playing with the goats or grooming a horse can be a relaxing and reassuring experience.
We have many different types of farm and domestic animals, with so much choice we can cater to our clients’ needs and preferences.
Our day centre has been running since 2011 and we’ve seen the positive impact working on a farm can have for adults with autism.
